Transmission housings are sandblasted to strip old sealant, rust and surface debris — down to clean metal, so nothing from the core's previous life survives into the rebuild.
All sealing surfaces are refinished and precisely prepped to guarantee perfect fitment and zero oil leakage after reassembly. A gasket can only seal as well as the surface under it.
Most oil leaks attributed to 'bad gaskets' are actually surface preparation failures. Refinishing the mating faces is what makes the new seals in stage 4 actually hold.
