Both. Remanufactured converters are cut open, cleaned, re-clutched and re-welded with the lock-up surface restored; new units suit the high-turn codes.
How do I match a converter to my transmission?
By transmission code and, where legible, the OE number stamped on the converter itself. Send both if you can — we confirm in writing.
Do you supply planetary gear sets separately?
Yes. Planetary sets, one-way clutches, housings and oil coolers are all supplied by code.
Will a new converter fix my shudder?
Lock-up shudder usually traces to the converter clutch surface combined with valve-body pressure. We'll tell you which parts belong in the job rather than selling you one and hoping.
